Family time

Well, my mother in law and sister in law are here. It actually is turning out better than I thought it would. (at least I think so . . .)
We had our ham dinner tonight, our virsion of Christmas dinner for them. It was nice, but I didn't quite cook the ham all the way through!!!
We opened presents, and I got some pretty stuff from bath and body works, along with some chocholate and earings. . .
Work continues to be icky.
Before Christmas, it was crazy trying to get things people needed for the holidays, but now, it is just as busy because people want Christmas to go 75 percent off. . .Idiots. They keep calling, but we cant tell them. how anoyoing.

Eve and counting

We had gone back last weekend to celebrate Christmas, so tonight hardly feels like Christmas eve at all!! Matt and I still had fun though. We watched Wall-E, (not as bad as I thought,) went to church, where the people were really nice and introduced themselves, and drank eggnog. (I tried it hot . . .not so good.) We also opened one present from "santa" (a.k.a., my step-mother-in-law,) We got a blueberry disign serving plate and punch bowl. Perfect for spring!
Church was cool. It was laid out like a grandma and grandpa reading infront of the fire place, christmas trees on either side of them. They would say a sermon, and then the chior would join in and sing about the sermon. Ex. They were talking how the angels appeeared to the shepperds, and then the choir sang "Hark! The hearld angels sing." It was lovely. Then at the end, we all lit the candles, and the preacher talked about how almighty God gave himself in the most vunarable form: a baby. And that Jesus comes softly into our lives, not like, clouds parting, angels singing, ect.
It was cool except for these 10 kids, (all from the same mom!) kept yelling. Keep it down!! Enough with the holiday spirit!!!
Just kidding.


I thought that the holiday was going to be really though, but it isnt as bad as I thought. Yeah, I miss my family, my dog, and my one friend who still stays in touch with me, (thanks!) but like I said, it already felt like Christmas. Now, it just feels like a Matt and Megan holiday. . . an extra day to show eachother how much we love each other by wearing pjs all day, and eating till we get a stomach ache. :)

Ok, I know I wrote about how much I love this song, but there is a good meaning in it!!! It says, "Love, it might be difficult, but it's real." So true!!!
Marriage is really hard, and I complain every day, but I love being married. Difficult, yes, but its the real thing. Its life, its what you live for.

to tatoo?

Ok, so I have wanted a tatoo for a while now, but suddenly, ok, since I got married, I haven't wanted one. Yeah, Matt would get mad, but I just have no desire to get one. But then I just read an old magazine article about Angelina Jolie, and I want to get a tattoo, die my hair red like I wanted, and be totally crazy!!!

Back to my roots, away from my husband.

Well, I am finally back in my home town! I am so excited. Being home for the holidays makes me realize how much more freedom I have here. I started to get depressed, thinking the reason I don't have freedom at home, is because someone takes it away from me.
But is it really him?
Or . . .
Is it the reality of growing up I hate? I hate having to cook, do dishes, work, and still be in a civil mood. (Whatever if it sounds bitter.)
It may be a little of each. I just view the "necisarry" things like, "uh, why can't you do it?" attitude. Then get mad if he doesn't. I want more time where I can do this, . .write, spend time to visit family, shop around, visit friends, have coffee, but then its like, "oh, I have to go to work to be able to do it all." Then I get bummed again.

Burrr!!! Its cold outside!

Matt and I took Kody for a hike yesterday, and a walk today. It was so much fun , but cold!!! Kody sliped and slidded like he was Bambi. (You know, that scene when Thumper is trying to get him to skate?) Yup, he looked just like that.

BURRRRRRR!!!!

ok, it was sooooo cold today! It was snowing uber early, and it was still snowing at 4:30! It was crazy. I took Kody out for a walk, and only went around the block. I had a long sleeve shirt on, a vest, and a coat. Not to mention mittins and scarf! At least Kody seemed to be enjoying himself.

Holidays a comm'n

Holy cow, it is December. Whoa!!!
Does anyone else feel like november was non-existant?
The day after Thanksgiving, while I was working, (BOO!) Matt and my fam got a tree. It is so pretty! Matt and I put lights and tensel on it, but since we hate decorating, that is as far as we got. Yup, it has been that way for 5 days. Oh well.

Thanksgiving goodness

My whole family came down for thanksgiving. It was really nice, because normally one of my sisters has to work, has school, or something, so it was really special for all of us to be in my home together for a few days. They came in on Wed. night, and me and my mom decided we would get up about 6:30ish to do the turkey. I think God had other plans. At 3:00 am (AM!!) someones phone was going dead, and was beeping loudly every couple of minutes. After laying awake for an hour and a half waiting for someone else to hear it, I got up, went to my parents room, and said, "One of your phones is beeping!"

My mom got up with me to look for it, and finally we found the culprit. Thanks alot dad, for not turning your phone off!!!
Well, it was quarter till 5, and me and my mom were like, "might as well start the turkey now." So that's what we did. With three dogs running around, we stuffed, chopped, and finally slid into the oven a perfect turkey.
It was only 5:30, so me and my mom went back to bed. The minute I climbed in, matt told me how bad I stunk. Oh yeah, I was cutting up onions baaby.
I just snuggled down close to him, letting him be close to his beautiful smelly wife. :)
I slept till 10, but hey, I was tiered! And the worst part of it was, no one would let me eat b/c we were going to be eating in an hour! I was hungry!
So we decided to have our cheese ball and champane then. Boy, what a way to wake up!
My sis got drunk off of it, and my other sis, (only 14!) was alowed some too. thakfully she didn't like it.
So much fun!
I can't wait to go home for Christmas!
